The Masters Program is designed for those 50 years old or older who are available to make a two or three year commitment to serve overseas utilizing the maturity, skills, and experience they have gained over their lifetime.
Thank you for your interest in the Masters Program. Because of the economic situation, this program is presently suspended. There are plans to reevaluate this program in 2010.
You may register your interest in the Masters Program by completing the online information form (click on ‘apply now’ on this website). Should this program be reinstated, you will be contacted about your interest. You are not committing to serve with IMB by completing the information form.

Qualifications of the Masters Program
- A sense of God’s leadership
- Emotional, physical and spiritual health
- At least 50 years old; no upper age limit (if married, one spouse must be 50)
- Citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- No dependent children (if there are dependent children, then consider ISC)
- An active member of a Southern Baptist church for the past two years
- Commitment to evangelism
- People with a past divorce may serve — call for more information (Initial Contacts)
- Education/experience that meets the field requirements
- A growing Christian faith
- Ability to clear your calendar for a five-day conference in Richmond
