Initial contact for short-term service

There are many ways to begin the missionary screening process, for all three channels of short-term service.

The first choice is to fill out the Information Form online >> Get Started

Write to journeyman@imb.org and ask questions about qualifications or the process, before completing the Information Form online. But you may want to check the FAQ's first!

What about people with no Web access?

We encourage those applicants with no Web access to go to their public library (or Kinkos, an Internet cafe, a friend's house) and use their Internet connection to do two things:

  1. Sign up for an e-mail account through Juno, yahoo, or hotmail, etc. Preliminary application materials utilize e-mail to its fullest extent!
  2. Go to our web-based Information Form and complete it online.

For those with e-mail but without personal web access, electronic documents sent as e-mail attachments may be used if they are unable to utilize a public library Internet connection.

Perhaps sign up for free Internet access at www.juno.com

After receiving your preliminary information, we will take a look at your qualifications, skills and abilities to assess your application.

Qualified individuals will be contacted regarding their next step in the screening process. The remainder of the application packet should be returned closer to the time that you desire to move ahead toward screening conference. If it is received too early, you will be asked to send in a few updated materials.
