These
missionary programs may
be the best kept secrets
in the Southern Baptist
Convention!
Southern Baptists age
21 or older, who are emotionally,
physically, spiritually
and vocationally healthy
ought to explore this
opportunity to see if
God could use them overseas.
Just going through the
process is a growing experience
itself, even if you don't
end up going overseas.
You
don't have to sign up
for life (career
service) and you don't
have to raise your own
financial support (volunteers).
The Cooperative
Program of the Southern
Baptist Convention and
the Lottie
Moon Christmas Offering
® provide the support
needed to screen and send
personnel all over the
world! We have many strategic
needs on our jobs list...
where might you make a
difference?

Why
is it a secret?
The IMB should be a Southern
Baptist's first choice
in exploring overseas
service. There are many
life-long Southern Baptist
students who raise their
own support and go overseas
with other organizations,
so maybe we are a secret!
Understand that not all
Southern Baptists will
be approved to serve overseas
with the IMB, but Southern
Baptists ought to start
here first. Help get the
word out.
The
Cooperative Program means
missions in the SBC!
How
can we get the word out?
You can help us mobilize
your church!
- Contact
the IMB contact
center and get materials
to distribute to your
church
-
Help Southern Baptists
understand the practical
nature of the Cooperative
Program and SBC
missions opportunities.
-
Inquire as to how to
become an Acts
1:8 church
-
Have program brochures
about how Southern Baptists
may go overseas as ISC,
Journeymen or Masters
missionaries.
-
Order video
materials like the
Task (for students),
Kids on Mission (for
children) and Global
Harvest (for adults)
to keep the "news
reel" in front
of your church of what
God is doing around
the world.
