About the authors:

Evelyn and Gary Harthcock retired from the Southern Baptist International Mission Board on March 15, 1985. Since that time, they have worked as volunteers in West Africa, South America, Central and Southeast Asia. Gary and Evelyn have taught English as a foreign language to Buddhist monks, medical doctors, embassy personnel, communication engineers, business people, high–school students, university students, military personnel, government personnel and church leaders.

The authors have written dozens of books that are designed to help students improve their conversational English. These books have been used in the classroom as well as by students who desire to do individual study at home. They are being distributed without charge in order to reach as many individuals as possible.
