X-treme backpackers “Doug McTavish” and “Stephen Faulkner” experience God while hiking China. It’s a different approach to missions.
X-treme backpackers share their faith along the way. Before bedding down in a village home, a hiker chats with other guests in Mandarin Chinese.
Sore legs and majestic vistas are the bane and blessing of X-treme backpackers following mountain trails through remote regions of China.

Josh Daffern made friends with a lot of kids during his two years in Botswana, from these healthy ones to "lifeless-eyed AIDS orphans with open sores (asking) for just a few pennies, for a little bread to eat."
Journeymen Josh Daffern and Amanda Hill ponder a map while on safari in Botswana. Spiritual navigation was a big part of Josh's African experience, too. “Away from the comforts of home, away from circumstances that come in nice packages, I was forced to look to God alone for help,” he reflects. “And that made all the difference.”
In Botswana, Josh Daffern felt the joy of “seeing someone’s eyes light up when they hear the name of Christ for the first time,” and the heartache of “knowing that thousands die weekly without knowing Christ, simply because there aren't enough Christians around to tell them.”

Nairobi, Kenya. Tara Haynes of the FBC Dallas choir giving a witness bracelet to one of the children in Kajole. She draws a crowd as she is explaining the significance of the colors.
Dalian, China. Many residents of Dalian still practice the ancient art of tai chi in the early hours of the morning.
Varanasi, India. Unreached People Group Bhojpuri. Bathing in the Ganges River in Varanasi. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges will wash their sins away.
