Attend
Candidate Conference
What Happens at the Conference?
Attendance is by invitation and transportation, room and board are
provided. The conference provides an opportunity for fellowship, worship, interviews
and information sharing. Children are not invited.
Personal Evangelism Training is a prerequisite for this conference. Approved
programs include
FAITH, CWT and EE
. MasterLife training and seminary courses
in evangelism may be acceptable if they include experience in personal witnessing.
Medical Examinations:
Standard physical exams will be scheduled for each candidate. Physicals are
generally conducted early in the week.
Personal Interviews Conducted With:
- Another
Candidate Consultant - This
interview provides staff
with an additional, objective
viewpoint on your life history,
your calling to missions,
and your readiness for overseas
service.
- Regional
Office Representative - You
will have the opportunity to
ask detailed questions about
the job you have selected.
This interview will help determine
if you meet the criteria established
for that particular job request.
Research
Related to Job Assignment:
The Jenkins Research Library has an extensive collection of materials on people
groups, countries, cultures and religions. You will have many opportunities
to gather information related to your particular job assignment.
Meet
with IMB Staff:
While at the conference you will
receive information from representatives
of various IMB departments, including
the Office of Finance, the Missionary
Learning Center, and the Office
of Overseas Operations.
