Reaching the CI

This is an example of how partnerships and mission trips work for the kingdom. An email from field personnel email tells of the Ci who are an unreached people group and neighbors to the Ayizo, who are an unreached people group in southern Benin. A couple of years ago, a short term teams who held medical clinics for the Ayizo, went with field personnel and some Ayizo church leaders across the river into a Ci village to hold a medical clinic and preach the gospel. One Ci lady was a believer who had been crossing the river and walking a long way to worship with Ayizo believers. Although there was much spiritual opposition to this mission, God called out some new believers at that time; and since then, field personnel and the Ayizo leaders have gone back to strengthen the believers and plant a church. Now the church that was planted is reaching further and further into their people group and beyond. The opportunity to enter into the Ci villages came with this volunteer medical team. The field personnel or Ayizo alone would not have had this opportunity. This is how it is supposed to work. We praise God and give Him the glory!
