M's and national Christians will plan to follow-up with Bible study, discipleship, and training for these and other Japanese Christians to start new Japanese churches.

Health Considerations
Health conditions that could prevent a volunteer from
accepting this assignment
Need to be able to walk several miles a day. July & August are very hot and humid months. Consideration should be given if heat or walking is a health issue.
Factors that could influence the volunteer's ability to do
this job
Although Japan has excellent medical care, good health is a must and participants should be able to walk alot and climb stairs. The main form of transportation will be the public train system and walking. Strollers are a major challenge because of so many stairs. No special immunizations are required. Check your family insurance plan for International coverage. Not all insurance covers out of country incidents.
Health care facilities available
Japan has some of the best health care in the world. Although some American insurance companies have overseas coverage, Japan does NOT accept American insurance or American personal checks as payment. Therefore, it is recommended that families have some other form of payment on hand for emergencies such as debit cards, American Express, Mastercard, or Visa credit cards. Japan is a cash society, therefore, be prepared to put your hands on cash via an ATM machine for any purchases.
