Pray over neighborhood after neighborhood, house after house, and person after person. You are needed to pierce the darkness by praying over the buildings, houses and people of this land. As you pray and listen to God, you will discover where He is working, helping the local Body of Believers to focus on those areas. Prayer is that first step to reaching this land for Christ. Come step out and pray for the Serbs and Serbia with us.

The goal of the trip is based primarily on the team priorities: Fervent Intercessory Prayer - prayerwalking Serbia. Intentional Church Planting- team members will have scriptures and other materials to distribute. Reaching New Peoples - new contacts will be made as we walk the streets. Spiritual Vitality - volunteers encourage and pray for and with team members. Training - incorporating national believers into prayerwalking their own communities with the volunteers.

Factors that could influence the volunteer's ability to do
this job
The volunteer will be mainly walking, sometimes in high temperatures if in the summer and cold temperatures if in the winter. We will be walking a lot each day, so good shoes and good stamina is a must. People smoke a lot, so second-hand smoke will be an issue. Serbian food is very good, consisting of lots of meat, breads, fruits, sweets, and vegetables. We recommend that you drink filtered or bottled water.
Health care facilities available
There are adequate clinics and hospitals in the major cities with new equipment and knowledgable doctors. Any special medications should be brought with the team.

Geographic Settings
Located across the Adriatic Sea from the boot of Italy and 2 countries up from Greece, Serbia is a country with a lot of natural beauty. The terrain varies from flat plains to rocky mountains. The climate in the summer time will range from the 70's to high 90's. Winter temperatures range from 0 to 40 with snow. Spring and fall typically have temperatures in the 50s, but occasionally revert to summer or winter temperatures.

The Serbs are an open, frank and friendly people. They eagerly accept Americans, but distrust our government. Don't talk politics. People are generally not reluctant to talk about religious matters, and they are never shy to share their own opinions on any subject. Most Serbs believe in God and the key truths of Christianity. However, very few have ever read the Bible, and even fewer have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Available Housing
The teams will stay in an apartment, house or hotel depending on costs and the size of the various teams. FLEXIBILITY IS A MUST. TEAMWORK IS A MUST. PUTTING OTHERS FIRST AND BEING TEACHABLE IS A MUST. The same applies for every aspect of this trip. Be ready to serve and to meet with Serbs. You will find many people will welcome you into their homes and humble you with their generosity and friendliness. Some may dismiss you as crazy.

Our emphasis is on discipling Serbs to start small groups, and on reading the Word in Serbs' homes at every opportunity. Prayerwalking teams will provide invaluable prayer, information and contacts for our team to establish work in this segment where very few churches or evangelical believers exist. You can help carry the vital message and hope of the cross throughout Serbia to impact eternity.
